Welcome to Netherton School

Netherton School is a small rural primary school near Paeroa, New Zealand.  We cater for students in Years 1-8.  The roll of 130-150 students mostly come from surrounding farms and homes in Netherton, Kerepehi, Awaiti and Paeroa.  Netherton School is less than 10km from Paeroa and some students travel here by bus.

The Netherton School Board of Trustees has resolved to use BOT funding to keep adult/student ratios high and to provide Teacher Aide support.  Our school buildings are well maintained and set on spacious, attractive grounds which include ample recreational facilities for students, including our own swimming pool.

Netherton School has been a green/gold Enviro School since 2013 and was the first in the Hauraki district to receive the award, and this reflects our commitment to the environment and education for sustainability.

A strong community spirit exists and parents, caregivers and other community members are actively interested, involved and supportive of school life.  Our PTA are a well organised and enterprising group who raise impressive sums of money for the school.  Parents and the school community support sporting and cultural events and come together on social occasions to support the school.  The Board of Trustees provide a safe, well resourced and appealing environment to benefit teaching and learning and to ensure the growth and development of children.  The school motto is "Take Pride" and we do!
